The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is an independent central government agency responsible for recruitment of candidates into top government services like IAS, IPS,IFS etc. UPSC recruits candidates to both civil services as well as defence services.

ABOUT UPSC - CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION (CSE)

Civil Services Examination (CSE) is an all India Competitive Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. It is widely known as the ‘IAS exam’ even though CSE is a common exam to recruit candidates to about 21 top government services like IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Educational Qualification :

Any Degree

To apply for UPSC-CSE, the academic qualification details are listed below

1. Must be a graduate (or)

2. Undergraduate in last year, last semester can apply (or).

3. American degrees valid but have to get equivalent certificate from AIU (or).

4. Distance education degree valid- IF recognized by UGC/AICTE/any Law (or)

5. MBBS must have completed internship before UPSC Interview-stage.
